Welcome to the website of freelance music therapist and harp teacher Mary Anne Gayford, based in Kentish Town, London.
Mary Anne grew up in Suffolk and studied Music at St Peter's College, Oxford before training as a music therapist at the Guildhall School of Music.Since 2014 she has been working as a music therapist with children, adolescents, and adults with depression, anxiety, attachment disorders, learning disabilities, autism, social, emotional and behavioural problems, brain injury, and with people suffering from dementia.
In addition, she works as a freelance harpist and harp teacher. She is delighted to work as the harp tutor at Sheffield Music Academy, and for Music in Offices.
Mary Anne is a fellow of the Lloyds Bank School for Social Entrepreneurs Programme run by the SSE. The programme enabled the development of Breathe Music into a social enterprise to give more people greater access to the therapeutic benefits of music.

Mary Anne is an HCPC registered music therapist and a member of the British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT). She holds an enhanced DBS check and undertakes regular safeguarding training.
